Meet the team
Robert Daniels
Managing Director
Robert heads up the Group and is very focused on delivering the necessary results that allows the business to grow, develop and remain highly profitable.
Robert has been with PBS Group Ltd. since its inception over 10 years ago. He is trained as a heating engineer.
Robert’s interests are riding, shooting and golf.
David Tuck
Director
David heads up our expansion drive including diversification into responsive repairs (joint venture), modular construction with Portakabin and MOD works. He has also restructured the business including its re-branding and its funding. David joined the PBS Group Ltd a year ago and is trained originally as a teacher but more recently has held international sales and marketing roles.
David’s interests are golf, drama and gardening.
Paul Mulhearn
Operations Director
Paul has a 20+ year track record with main contractors (most recently with the Mears Group) & brings to the PBS Group Ltd vital experience to deliver the necessary fields focused infrastructure. This infrastructure will be scaleable. Paul also has a minor civils background.
Paul’s main interest is golfing where his ambition is to be the next Tiger Woods.
Kay Lloyd
Sales Administration Manager
Kay joins the PBS Group as Sales Administration Manager. Her role is vital to the continued growth of the company that needs to be underpinned by sales administration processes 2nd to none.
Kay is a member of the I.C.B. She has worked for nearly 20 years previously at McCormicks in Doncaster undertaking various roles including stores management, accounting and human resources.
Kay has no time for hobbies being mum to 2 young boys. She prefers to be described as ‘taxi driver’ and ‘cheer leader’ and says that she has become an expert in youth football.
Sharon Higgs
Client Liason Manager
Sharon has spent many years in managing customer care and service and has joined us from the Mear Group where she had similar responsibilities over a 3 year period. Sharon is very inter-personal that is vital for her role.
Sharon is a ‘Barnsley Lass’ who enjoys ‘Powerwalking’ every night to ‘clear her mind’ and be fresh and fit for the next day.
Jim Beachill
Management Consultant and Accountant
Jim is married with 2 sons and 2 grandchildren. He is a qualified ACMA and is management consultant and accountant to the PBS Group. Jim has previously been M.D. of his own electrical business.
Jim’s whole life revolves around cricket and he is General Secretary of the South Yorkshire Cricket League.
Sara Keys
Financial Controller (Sales/Purchase Ledger & Payroll)
Sara was the 1st employee at PBS Group when she was 18 and ‘never been kissed’. Sara works in accounts.
Sara’s hobbies are gym training, horse riding, shopping and she is a ‘Godmother’ to her niece Kaitlin.
Sharon Finch
H.R. Consultant
Sharon is employed by the Doncaster Chamber. She is acting as a consultant for the PBS Group regarding H.R. Sharon is able to bring her enormous H.R. experience to the PBS Group allowing it to grow into a ‘mini’ main contractor Group with ease.
Sharon is a member of the C.I.P.D. and has worked in retail as a Regional HR Manager for 19 years. Sharon is a keen cyclist and likes sailing her boat that is called ‘Rising Damp’. Sharon hails from Glengormley in Northern Ireland and hence she has a beautiful Irish Brogue.
Jade Shipley
Administrator
Jade assists both finance and commercial and also undertakes general administration.
Jade’s hobbies are adoring Ronan Keating, shopping and she has a Siberian husky dog called ‘Dimitri’.
Sheila Seymour
Reception and Sales Administration Assistant
Sheila joined PBS at the end of 2007 in the role of receptionist and sales administration assistant. Sheila is the ‘voice of PBS’ and will front all incoming calls. At her interview we made it clear to Sheila that her voice and gentle manner were ideal to front the business.
Sheila has previously worked with Amec in Doncaster as well as other local businesses.
Sheila has brought additional sunshine and blue sky to H.Q. and encourages everyone to take exercise that includes a ‘Company Swim’ every Wednesday evening. Her life revolves around her love for her grandchildren named Amy, Kirsty, Callum, Shannon and Jayden.
She is the Rula Lenska of the PBS Group.
Ged Thirlwall
Mechanical Contracts Manager
Is trained to B.P.E.C. level in Energy Efficiency and Gas Fitting. Ged has, over the last 20 years, worked for local authorities, Mears Construction, Bullock and ROK as well as running his own business. This experience is ideal as Ged is responsible for everything mechanical in PBS.
In his spare time Ged enjoys his puppies, football and vintage VWs.
Ross Mallon
Southern Regional Contracts Manager
Ross has recently joined the PBS Group to spearhead growth on the South of England so that, over the next 3 years, its turnover equals that of the North of England. Ross is an experienced and passionate manager who, over the last 15 years has run his own building company for 9 years and been a senior site manager, project manager and building consultant. Within these roles Ross has worked on projects ranging from Grade 1 listed building refurbishments to multi million pound city centre developments. On joining PBS Ross has ensured that an existing MOD, million pound plus contract, has been delivered on time and within budget.
Ross's hobbies are keeping fit, reading, and following F1.
Andy Bruce
Buyer
Andy has been trained in Health and Safety but specialised in buying about 5 years ago where he worked as a buyer with Mears both in Barnsley and Wakefield. Andy joined PBS in January 2008, as buyer, and is focused in driving down purchasing costs whilst at the same time introducing both efficiencies and setting up a long term supply chain.
He is married and has 2 children, both of whom are attending University. Andy is a keen motor biker and owns a BMW. I am sure that Andy is secretly a ‘boy racer’.
Karen Coupe
Management Consultant (NERAK Systems Ltd)
Karen has over 15 years experience within the Construction Industry and brings to PBS Group her experience as a Lead Auditor in Quality, Environmental Management and Health & Safety Systems. Karen also works as a Third Party Auditor and a trainer of Internal / Lead Auditors. The challenge for Karen is to help effectively and efficiently implement BS EN ISO 9001:2000 within the Company to ensure best business benefit is gained.
Karen enjoys Greyhound Racing, Gardening and Reading
